How Will Pakatan Divide The Rest of The Cake!

There is already grumbling in Pakatan Harapan on how the 14th general election cake is being divided.

Rafizi is quoted with the following:
“The decision was made without our participation. He bulldozed it… the due process of discussions was not done.
“As far as we are concerned, the discussions have to take place,” Rafizi told Malaysiakini.

There is little doubt that he is openly saying what others are too scared to express.

But at least one other (Wong Chen) has come out to support Rafizi after the former received criticism over his remarks.

From The Star

PETALING JAYA: Rafizi Ramli’s concerns on Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s new cabinet line-up are warranted as these decisions were made without consulting PKR, says his fellow party vice president Wong Chen

Wong said it is perplexing that PKR has not been offered any Cabinet positions yet, since it is the single largest party in Pakatan Harapan.

He pointed out that the party has 48 federal seats, while DAP has 42, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia has 13 and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) has 11.

“Nothing yet for PKR, the single largest party in Pakatan Harapan? So what did Rafizi do that is wrong in the eyes of the public?

“He is telling the truth to power, that these appointments were made without PKR’s consent,” Wong he said in a statement on Facebook on Saturday (May 12).

As some members who earlier left Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) have insinuated; there was an inner circle within the their newly formed political party.

Looking at the how the new cabinet is being formed; there appears to be an inner circle and kickbacks within the new Pakatan Harapan government.

How else can one justify Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Home Minister and Mat Sabu as Defence Minister. Are those just ceremonial positions while others do the everyday heavy lifting?

Muhyiddin Yassin’s appointment seems to be his reward for his not making waves after being dropped as a potential appointee for both Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.

With respect to the appointment of Mat Sabu as Defence Minister; one can only say that Malaysia is extremely fortunate that it enjoys good relations with other nations.

Now most recall when it was written that Lim Kit Siang should reveal his aspirations as DOM and Finance Minister.

It would have proven earlier allegations true had Lim Kit Siang been appointed Finance Minister so a switch of sorts was made and his son Lim Guan Eng was appointed to that post. In reality, nothing has changed as father and son will be running that Ministry giving credence to earlier stories of a deal being struck.

As the cake continues to be given out, those who have put in all the work will be lucky to end up with the crumbs that fall from the table.

It has always been about the inner circle of Pakatan Harapan and their aspirations. Now those in Pakatan are questioning how the new Pakatan Harapan government will divide the rest of the cake or will the the inner circle take the lion’s share!

Pakatan Doesn’t Trust Each Other; How Can They be Trusted to Govern Malaysia!

AzminAli Rafizi

If Pakatan Harapan is having all types of trust issues among themselves; how can they expect Malaysians to trust them with the nation?

Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali went behind DAP-led Pakatan’s back to try to pull PAS back into the Pakatan opposition camp even though DAP-led Pakatan issued an edict saying there was to be no contact with PAS.

It seems that Azmin knows that without PAS, not only will Pakatan have little chance in the next (GE14) general election, but there is a great possibility that he may be out as the Selangor Menteri Besar.

Not wanting to face that prospects of being jobless, Azmin Ali has for some time been trying to entice PAS back into the fold.

Again he has been doing this against the orders of the coalition.  Therefore, one has to ask; does the Selangor Menteri Besar have cart blanch to go against coalition wishes or are his actions systematic of how dysfunctional things really are in Pakatan Harapan?

Unfortunately for Azmin Ali and DAP-led Pakatan his effort has not provided the dividends that he had hoped; PAS has recently rebuffed DAP-led Pakatan’s overtures by stating that it never really wanted cooperation with their coalition.

Of course PAS saying no will do little to dissuade DAP-led Pakatan. They (PH) know that the general election is probably months away and still find themselves in desperate need of Malay votes.  As such, don’t be surprised if you hear about Azmin once again going against the coalition’s directive and try to coerce PAS into returning.

But Azmin Ali is not alone with it comes to running roughshod and doing one’s own thing in the DAP-led Pakatan opposition.  alone.

Recently, Latheefa Koy has come out and said that Rafizi Ramli was the architect behind the now infamous ‘Kajang Move’.

You can read the sordid details in the following link.

Latheefa had seemed to be willing to hold on to this info until Rafizi started to publically point the finger elsewhere.

It seems that Rafizi has not heard the expressions; Let sleeping dogs lie or don’t stir up the hornets’ nest!

With the combination of political backstabbing, breaking rank, infighting and airing out dirty laundry in the public; one has to wonder how a coalition in such disarray can ever hope to govern a country when it is very apparent that they do not have enough discipline to manage events within their own coalition.

Perhaps Datuk Seri Hadi Awang saying that PAS does not trust Pakatan Harapan due to the unfolding events in Pakatan and other issues PAS feels are important.

Given the events which are taking place in Pakatan Harapan, it is of no surprise that PAS does not trust them.  In fact, if Pakatan can’t trust each other; how can Malaysians trust them with the nation?

Pakatan Harapan Acts Like A Dog Chasing Its Tail!

LKS Buffer

Have you ever seen a dog chase its own tail and think it is accomplishing something?  That is exactly what Pakatan Harapan looks and sounds like when they chase after Prime Minister Najib.  They continually run around in circles with their tongues wagging trying to convince others as well as themselves into believing that they are making progress in their (misguided) efforts to remove Malaysia’s Prime Minister (Datuk Sri Najib Razak) from office

Over the past few years they (Pakatan Harapan) have had so many ‘Aha’ moments that now when they proclaim a new one, the rakyat collectively says ‘Oh No’!

With each news conference you can almost see them (Pakatan Harapan) salivating over the prospects of finally being able to expose and thereby bring down the Prime Minister along with the government he presides over.

However, given their (Pakatan Harapan) individual and collective efforts to date, one thing is becoming abundantly clear; if they have problems working together without having a nation to govern, just imagine the circus that would appear, if by some quirk in the universe they were tasked with the governing the nation.

Yet on some level it is probably good that Pakatan Harapan is so dysfunctional.  If they were not, they may have succeeded in their non democratic efforts to remove Prime Minister Najib from office.   However, with so many competing factions and no clear head directing their collection of disjointed parties, there is no surprise that they are tittering on the verge of implosion.

Pakatan Harapan not wanting the rakyat to focus on their collective ineptitude, they continually run around in circles barking aloud that they smell something foul.  However, the foul smell of impropriety is not coming from other quarters, but from Pakatan Harapan’s own hind quarters.

As the rakyat has been witnessing, this stench of impropriety which Pakatan Harapan is so fond of labeling the Prime Minister with appears to be coming more and more from those who are associated in one way or another with Pakatan Harapan.

De-facto PKR leader Datuk Anwar Ibrahim (Prison)

PKR MP Rafizi Ramli (sentenced to 18 months)

Penang (DAP) Menteri Besar Lim Guan Eng (To Be Determined)

A couple of others were mentioned (here)

And since Pribumi wants to snuggle up with Pakatan Harapan; then this has to be included (here)

Perhaps Pakatan Harapan should stop fruitlessly chasing after that which is not there and focus on cleaning up the mess they call their alliance; as it stands they are the ones that are tainted with the foul smell of impropriety!

Rafizi’s GST Exposé Now Takes Express Train To Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar!

Rafizi Ramli (PKR secretary-general) will try to help the Opposition bounce back from their devastating election defeat in Sarawak.

He plans to do this by recycling old stories of how the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is hurting the rakyat.  Perhaps Rafizi has overlooked the fact that trying to resurrect GST doesn’t bring about the type of response that the Opposition (DAP, PKR, Amanah) will need to make a difference on Election Day!

If Rafizi has such ground shaking information; why hold back! Or as they say in the West during wedding ceremonies; speak now or forever hold your piece!  He therefore should share it all at once and be done with it!

Perhaps Rafizi believes that a daily dose of the ills of GST will cause those who are fasting to connect the GST to their not eating and not connect their fasting to their love for Islam!

It is hard to imagine that those who are fasting and those who are not, will sit around and wait with baited breaths to hear what Rafizi has to offer.

If what he (Rafizi) has to offer is of such importance, he would have certainly shared it before the election in Sarawak!

If he had, then it is obvious from the results that the information did not help the Opposition achieve its goals in East Malaysia.  If he did not share the information then one has to wonder; why not!

As no one could foresee the events that had taken place to bring about the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar by-elections; Rafizi could have certainly gone all out to share his ground shaking information in order to secure a win for the Opposition in Sarawak!

There was no compelling reason to hold back unless he (Rafizi) was waiting for GE14 to drop the GST bomb!

What Rafizi and the Opposition want is for the rakyat to believe that they are suffering and that the Opposition has the cure for this imagined suffering!

And what is the Opposition’s well thought out cure that they have spent countless days and hours coming with?  Abolish the GST!

Not only abolish the GST, but also introduce subsidies give this and give that, yada, yada, yada!

Throughout the world and in most elections, Opposition parties promise to do the same thing; get rid of a government program that is unpopular, yet necessary and promise the people anything that they believe the people want to hear!

The Opposition (DAP, PKR, Amanah et al) never tell you where the funds will come from to replace what the GST is no longer generating for the good of the nation as well as not mentioning where the funds will come from to pay for the election promises that they make to the people!

The rakyat is realizing that even though the GST was not initially popular (as grassroots explanation was slowly discriminated), its enactment was necessary as a mean for the government to continue to move Malaysia forward. The same forward progress which played a central role for Team Barisan National’s win in Sarawak.

With nothing to in hand to counter the BN’s success; the Opposition can only resurrect GST, hoping it will have better results in the upcoming by-elections.

Who knows, perhaps Rafizi GST exposé can bounce back from its missed flight to Sarawak by taking an express train to Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar in hopes of saving the Opposition from yet another election loss!
