Anwar’s Statement is a moot point as he’s still incarcerated!

Wan and Anwar

Recently Datuk Anwar Ibrahim said that he won’t be Pakatan’s Prime Minister candidate.

http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/anwar-says-wont-be-pakatans-pm-candidate

Apparently Anwar believes that he is outside Sungai Buloh prison looking in, instead of being on the inside looking out.

Given the status of every prisoner in Sungai Buloh; they can all issue a press statement saying that they also won’t be DAP-led Pakatan Harapan’s Prime Minister Candidate.

Anwar seems to be in denial about his residential status in the same way he is confused about activities a man should not perform on another man.

Anwar statement is supposed to give the impression that he is making this grand gesture (from behind bars) for the sake of Pakatan’s cohesiveness.  However, the problem is DAP-led Pakatan has been anything, but a cohesive coalition.

Even within the political parties which make up the coalition there are feuds, infighting, and favouritism bestowed on the inner circles.  There has also been growing dissatisfaction within ranks of Lim Kit Siang’s DAP, Tun Mahathir’s Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malay (PPBM) and PKR headed by anyone’s guest.

Therefore all the talk back and forth over Tun Mahathir (aged but free) and Anwar (aging and incarcerated) as DAP-led Pakatan’s Prime Minister designate only goes hand in hand with all of the miscues and confusion coming forth from the coalition.

The confusion also explains why DAP-led Pakatan has not to this point named a PM designate.  They could not name what they do not have.

https://themalaysianobserverblog.wordpress.com/2017/03/07/pakatan-cant-name-what-they-dont-have/

That is why there have only been two (2) names coming from the lips of Pakatan; Tun Mahathir whose PPBM have just joined the coalition and Anwar Ibrahim.

It stands to reason that if there were other suitable candidates Pakatan would have brought them to the forefront.

DAP-led Pakatan has been playing with smoke and mirrors to mask the fact that they are a coalition devoid of substance.  That is precisely why they get excited anytime 1 Malaysia Development Berhad is mention; they need it to divert attention away from the fact that they (Pakatan Harapan) have absolutely nothing to offer.

https://sskeruak.blogspot.my/2017/06/the-doj-announcement-is-meant-to.html

So with everything else not taking place with DAP-led Pakatan, now Anwar Ibrahim is saying he won’t be Pakatan’s Prime Minister candidate; which is a moot point as he is still incarcerated!

Pakatan’s PM Dilemma; Mahathir Who Will Screw Them in The End or Anwar; In Prison for Screwing in The End!

Tun M and Anwar

DAP-led Pakatan Harapan finds itself once again in a dilemma for its choice of Prime Minister if they were to win the 14th general election.

On one of the coin there is Tun Mahathir who has already forged a plan to screw over his new coalition mates if he is installed as Prime Minister. Then there is Datuk Anwar Ibrahim who according to his conviction is no stranger to the act of screwing those whom he fancies.

Tun Mahathir eagerness (although he tries to down play it) should be a red flag for DAP-led Pakatan.  Here is a man just a little shy of one hundred (100) years of age vying for the top job in Malaysia.

Even having done it before, the job is physically and mentally demanding for a person in their prime; how much more for someone who is past that period.

Maybe Tun Mahathir will take a page out of Datuk Wan Azizah Ishmael’s book of ‘How to be a tseat warming Prime Minister’

Perhaps Tun Mahathir’s real plan is just to get in the door and make the just right moves to get his son Mukhriz in place to become Prime Minister and at the same time surround Mukhriz with loyal minions who will assure that he stays remains in place.

Of course to hatch such a plan, Mahathir probably has to broker a deal with no other than de facto DAP-led Pakatan head Lim Kit Siang.

It is highly unlikely that Tun Mahathir can pull off the bait and switch without some form of agreement that with Lim Kit Siang.

Does part of such an agreement entail Lim Kit Siang being given the position as Finance Minister?  Perhaps it is that along with a side deal that his son (Lim Guan Eng) does not go to prison for taking advantage of his position as the present Menteri Besar of Penang.

Whichever the case, there is little doubt that the two men (Tun Mahathir and Lim Kit Siang) have worked out some backroom deal.

The problem with doing a backroom deal with Mahathir is that Lim Kit Siang had better watch his back or he may find that he is being screwed in the end!

Which bring us to Datuk Anwar Ibrahim; he has been convicted and now sits in Sungai Buloh prison for screwing (sodomizing) his former aid in the end.

However even with that, there are those in DAP-led Pakatan who still cry for Anwar as their choice for PM.  There are some of them who somehow view the raping of a man by another man as less offensive than a man doing the same to a woman; failing to comprehend that rape is rape!

There are other Anwar Ibrahim supporters who are quick to proclaim that Anwar did not sodomize his aid; an act that Anwar has never denied and refused to get on the stand during his trail to refute.

Now Anwar’s lawyers are attempting to have his conviction dropped because they claim that layer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah was paid RM9.5 million to make sure Anwar was convicted.

http://www.malaysia-today.net/even-if-shafee-was-paid-rm9-5-million-it-would-still-be-sodomy/

It is interesting to note that Anwar and his lawyers are trying to dance around the main issue; did Anwar sodomize, have unnatural sex with, have a Peanut But-ter and KY Jelly sandwich with his aid.

Anwar is hoping that he is released so that he contest in first a by election, then in the 14th general election.

However, right now DAP-led Pakatan has a PM Dilemma; Mahathir who will screw them in the end or Anwar who is in Prison for Screwing in the end!

Wan Azizah; Mandela Was Jailed For Fighting For Freedom, Anwar Is In Jail For…Well!

anwar-and-siful

Datuk Dr Wan Azizah should have made a comparison other than Nelson Mandela when stating her jailed husband (Datuk Anwar Ibrahim) still having a chance to become Prime Minister.  (here)

Nelson Mandela’s struggle was for his people and everything he did was for that noble cause.  On the other hand, Anwar Ibrahim like Lim Kit Siang and Tun Mahathir is motivated by what he wants.

For Lim Kit Siang he wants to break the hold the Malays have on the government and Tun Mahathir wants to have his seed (Mukhriz) installed in the seat he (Mahathir) once held.

The same blind and rather selfish ambition holds true for Anwar; as virtually everything Anwar Ibrahim has done was for Anwar Ibrahim.  The rakyat has just served as a convenient tool that he could use to fulfill his various needs.

Of course Wan Azizah is fully aware of her husband’s various tastes and his lust for power being one of them.

With the courts striking down her husband’s request for release, Wan Azizah is now trying to use a broad paintbrush to paint her Anwar as someone who is jailed for political reasons. Yes, if having a desire for strange fruit is a political reason then maybe she has a point.

In this instance it is not a case of a rose by any other name.  Anwar Ibrahim’s conviction is for sodomy. Therefore it is what it is; no matter how a wife may try and spin it.

Wan Azizah has about as much chance of seeing Anwar become Prime Minister as Tun Mahathir seeing Mukhriz Mahathir becoming Prime Minster or former deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin of becoming Prime Minister.

Mentioning Muhyiddin Yassin; according to one writing he will be fortunate, if he can survive as Parti Pribumi Bersatu (Pribumi) President (here)

Of course Wan Azizah and Tun Mahathir can have their dreams as dreams are free.  But Anwar won’t be free for some time yet and there is nothing compelling about Mukhriz even having the family name of Mahathir that makes him a desirable choice as Prime Minister.

At this stage of life, Wan Azizah should not be thinking about any future political career for her husband, but rather focus on how to advert the situation which caused him to be where he is today.  In other words; heal thy marriage!

Trying to cast Anwar in the same light as Mandela is an insult to the memory of Mandela.  Everything Mandela did was for the people while everything Anwar does is for Anwar.

Mandela went to prison for fighting for the rights of the downtrodden; Anwar went to prison for…well sodomy!

Muhyiddin Knows Mahathir Anwar Meeting Means He Is Screwed!

Former deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been trying to act ‘butch’ of late in a vain attempt to make him seem relevant in the political arena.  His recent statement claiming that he went down fighting did not go down with those who knew that he went out whimpering.

Muhyiddin Yassin has performance during the last year in office (or even earlier) showed that he was always a few steps out of sync with what is important; especially when it came to political survival.  Somehow he though inaction, pouting, hinting at or just playing the ignorant card would go over with both the rakyat and his ‘handler’.  It seems that both have grown weary of him.

The weariness the public and his ‘handler’ (whom many suspect is Tun Mahathir) have Muhyiddin Yassin has taken on even more significance of late as he is believed to have taken more than social liberties with another’s keepsake.

Tun Mahathir, Pakatan Harapan and ANC all do not want Muhyiddin Yassin’s dirty laundry hanging over them before GE14 as they are already lagging behind Team Barisan in public confidence.

This meant that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s coup plotters were faced with a dilemma; the dilemma of replacing Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and more significantly, who to replace him with.

So here comes the handshake!

There was probably a lot of backroom negotiating that had taken place before Tun Mahathir and Datuk Anwar Ibrahim agreed to shake hands.  Anyone who thinks that Tun woke up in the morning and said to himself “I think I will pay Anwar a visit “is extremely naive.  After all Anwar Ibrahim is the very same person who not too long ago Tun Mahathir said is ‘immoral’.

So is Anwar immoral or isn’t he or does it not really matter in Tun Mahathir’s mind as he has run out of options and is pathetically desperate!

It stands to reason that part of their soon to be not so secret agreement may include:

  1. Tun Mahathir recanting on all he said about Anwar; blaming it on bad intelligence.
  2. Tun Mahathir saying let bygones be bygones yada, yada, yada
  3. Anwar Ibrahim openly supporting Tun Mahathir and in return being freed, if Pribumi can do the impossible and win GE14

Or and get this…..

  1. Have Anwar replace Muhyiddin Yassin with the same understanding that he (Anwar Ibrahim) can taste Purtrajaya again until 2021 and then make way for Mukhriz.

Little doubt Anwar would be agree to the latter as there is little chance the old man will interfere in politics in 2021.

Whatever their love recent love fest entails, it spells doom and gloom for former Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.  In this fox trot he is the odd man out!

Tun Mahathir’s aspiration for his Mukhriz is like a vehicle running on fumes; he (Tun Mahathir) has to do something before the vehicle completely stops; which is why Tun Mahathir is openly contradicting his once resolute anti Anwar Ibrahim position and why Muhyiddin Yassin has a pain in the rear end.

He (Muhyiddin Yassin) knows the Tun Mahathir Anwar meeting means he is screwed!

Wan Azizah; I Saw The Face Of Our Enemy and The Enemy Is Us!

PH and PAS break

Wan Azizah in her quiet reflective moments has to wonder; when did things start to go wrong.

During the early part of 2015, the Opposition was riding high with confidence in the belief that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s days were numbered.  They (Opposition) believed that with their two (2) pronged (PKR and DAP) attack they could put enough pressure through the court of public opinion that the Prime Minister would have no choice, but to resign.

Instead of hurling accusations at the Prime Minister which they (Opposition) knew would not resonate with the rakyat; they instead had chosen one theme (1MDB) as their weapon of choice.  However as the preconceived time tables for the Prime Minister’s ouster came and went; sectors of the Opposition started pointing fingers as to which of them was responsible for not pulling their weight to secure the removal of Prime Minister Najib Razak from office!

However, that was not the onset of the problems within the Opposition.  The fishers of discontent could be seen as early as the ‘Kajang Move’ when you had Opposition members conspiring against one of their own; former Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Seri Abd Khalid Ibrahim.

Back stabbing one of their own could not have been lost on the ranking members of both DAP and PKR as they realized that if it could happen to Khalid, then it could happen to them as well!  An additional revelation was how the DAP treated PAS more like an unwanted pet than as a real partner.  The pet’s purpose was to come and go as the master (DAP) summoned and to choose the candidate that they (DAP and PKR) wanted as their one and only choice (Datuk Wan Azizah for Selangor Menteri Besar.

It was when PAS showed their own initiative that the DAP started to refer to them as traitors to the Opposition cause!   That initiative cause the DAP’s true not so hidden feelings to show when Lim Guan Eng criticized how PAS was unable to manage certain affairs of Kelantan!

If there is a thin line between love and hate then the DAP expressed it through their new feeling towards PAS!  Masking the hate that they (DAP) harbored for PAS was the love they had for the Malay votes that they wanted PAS to secure for them.  With PAS out of the Opposition fold, the DAP quickly let them (PAS) know how they have always felt; disdain!

All the treachery that saw the removal of former Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim as Selangor Menteri Besar was not lost on Dato’ Seri Azmin Ali; the new Selangor Menteri Besar.  Azmin as the second choice by most of the Opposition heads for Selangor Menteri Besar realized that the same forces that manipulated Khalid’s removal and started to speak negatively about former partner PAS,  could turn on him just as easily.

That is probably why Azmin when forming his government kept PAS around as he knew that he would need friends when it is his turn to be ousted!

If the best defense is an offense then Azmin, unlike Khalid Ibrahim has already started trying to firm up his base of support along with an eventual move to be President of PKR!

This was readily seen in Azmin going against Opposition wishes by sending an invitation to PAS to return to the fold and in his working closely with Tun Mahathir on the ‘Save Malaysia’ movement.  The later’s activity prompted de facto Opposition leader Datuk Anwar Ibrahim to pen a not so private letter that was a subtle warning to both Azmin and Tun Mahathir that he (Anwar) is still the de facto leader!

The internal strife which is plaguing the Opposition is making it apparent to all that the Opposition enemy is not the Prime Minister, but those who share their bed!

Wan Azizah is probably thinking; I saw the face of our enemy and the enemy is (Opposition) us!

The Opposition Finds Itself In Survival Mode!

image (9)

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s planned leaked letter should have curtailed any and all involvement of the opposition with Tun Mahathir or at least that is what Anwar was hoping from his residency in Sungai Buloh.

For all of his prose on how PKR and the opposition in general should keep Tun Mahathir at arm’s length; the message still has either not been understood or those in the opposition who are still meeting with Tun Mahathir have made a Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin decision to go against their leader (Anwar Ibrahim)!

Whichever the case, it further proves the desperation, fractionation and overall disarray of the opposition!  And in this situation, Tun Mahathir has the upper hand as he is available and mobile; so to speak!  Anwar on the other hand is limited on who can visit him as well as the time and length of visitation(s).

The opposition has become like a person at sea without a life vest and no rescue ship in sight; grasping at seaweed seems good when there is nothing else around.

Having no other viable choice further shows the state the opposition finds itself in as Anwar is cut off, Datuk Wan Azizah does have the right stuff to rally the faithful and Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali is seen as a threat to the Anwar clan as well as the DAP!

As was written in the past; desperate times called for desperate action and when the opposition reached out to Tun Mahathir that only proved how desperate they have become!

For Tun Mahathir it is a win win for him!  He has access to the opposition political machinery without having to invest nothing, but his former reputation and if the opposition fails at their agenda his personal agenda which involves his son is still intact!  Along with this is that fact that Tun Mahathir does not have to share the lime light with Anwar Ibrahim!

It would not stretch the imagination to far to think Tun ‘M’ hinted to Azmin that if his son were to eventually become Prime Minister, he (Azmin) would be one of the Deputy Prime Minister’s; the other one being for Lim Guan Eng, if he is not doing time over his house purchase!

However, the real problem Tun Mahathir and the opposition has is credibility.  All of the effort that the opposition has and is still putting in to unseat the democratically elected Prime Minister (Najib Razak) by less than democratic means, has the rakyat looking at opposition with growing suspicion!

Having Tun Mahathir as the figure head will do little if nothing to change a public’s perception of the chaos the opposition finds itself embroiled in.   The ‘Kajang Move’,  Azmin’s renegade PAS Invitation, Anwar’s letter warning against working with Tun Mahathir and opposition MP’s going against Anwar’s wishes by still meeting with Tun Mahathir shows some of the obvious cracks within the opposition.  The partnership with their once nemesis Tun Mahathir proves that the opposition has switched from a viable organization to one that is running on survival mode!

The Opposition’s New Mantra; In Mahathir We Trust!

On the back of the one (1) US dollar bill, displayed above the centered word ‘ONE’  are those familiar words; “In God We Trust”

People and nations have fought, gone to war and lost their lives over the ‘paper’ that those words are printed on. Still  others have tried to forge the US currency while still others looked to take the easy path by  stealing it!

Despite the (US) currency no longer having the value that it had (if ever) many years ago; people still place their hopes and dreams in what that currency can possibly do to enrich their lives.

This also seems to be the case when it comes to Tun Dr Mahathir.  The opposition (DAP, PKR, ANC and Amanah) having run out of any potent viable choice seems to have put all their hope in Tun ‘M’ to carry them to the political holy land of Putrajaya! (here)

For many in the opposition, it makes little difference, if Tun M is contrite over what they believe are his wrongs to them during the years he was Prime Minister.  They only want what they want; even if that means sleeping with the man (Tun ‘M’) who was a major thorn in their side!

There are others like Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali (PKR) who probably believe that it is political expedient to cozy up to Tun ‘M’ so that he (Tun) can serve as a safety net, if he (Azmi Ali) is no longer part of  their (PKR) future.   Azmin needs friends like Tun ‘M’ and PAS in case he should some need a new political home!

The elder DAP statesman, Lim Kit Siang knows that he needs Malay votes in order to capture political landscape.  Votes which he once believed he had have quickly vanished during the Bersih 4 ‘Yellow Shirt’ rally!  Pretty much a ‘one sided’ affair, LKS and the DAP realized what better way to catch Malays then to use an icon like Tun ‘M’ as bait!

Just as with the US dollar; there are those who believe that Tun ‘M’ has value for their cause while others see him (Tun ‘M’) as only having perceive value.

This appears to be the case; from what little help that Tun ‘M’ has been able to offer the opposition, it seems that his value to the opposition’s ‘cause’ is more perceived than intrinsic.

One can scarcely point at anything of note that has come out of his (Tun ‘M’) joining the opposition other than the 1.2 million unverified signatures that he claims to posses; which by all accounts leaves Prime Minister Najib Razak with the rest! (here )

While there are those who place their trust in Tun ‘M’, there are still others (one in particular) who do not trust him. That one is the imprisoned opposition de facto leader Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim!

Anwar has seen from his Sungai Buloh room with a view how both former Prime Minister Tun ‘M’ and Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali have been commanding the hearts and minds of those he once reigned over.  Anwar has also probably noticed how the DAP has been prompting up Tun ‘M’ as the new de facto opposition leader while all, but ignoring him..

The DAP knows that Anwar’s castration can do little to help them produce the political and personal agendas they have set their eyes on. Therefore the DAP being pragmatic pegged their hopes on Tun ‘M’ like many nations peg their currency hopes on the US dollar!

Anwar’s lengthy letter was his way of saying; ‘I’m still relevant’!

In another way; he was sending out warning shots directly to Tun Mahathir and indirectly at Azmin Ali; telling them both not to get overly ambitious!

Anwar having worked with Tun ‘M’, knows that Mahathir will do whatever it takes to get what he wants even if that includes backing both the opposition and Barisan National concurrently!  Anwar also knows that ‘Save Malaysia’ has nothing to with the rakyat and it certainly has nothing to do with him. Tun ‘M’ wants to save the hope he has for his son to someday become number one!

From his prison cell, Anwar is now trying to curtail Tun Mahathir influence over the opposition.  In his letter about not trusting Tun Mahathir; Anwar hopes that the collective opposition will keep Tun ‘M’ at arms length while still recognizing him (Anwar) as the opposition de facto leader!

It seems however that Anwar’s warnings has come too little, too late as the opposition is confused and somewhat divided over who is their de facto leader.

The reality is with Anwar locked away; the opposition had little choice other than place their trust in an icon from yesteryear; Tun Mahathir!
