Mahathir’s 1MDB Claim Quickly Disappearing into Thin Air!

Tun 1MDB

It was not that long ago that Tun Mahathir said that RM42 Billion of 1MDB money had disappeared into thin air; now the whole world sees that his claims are disappearing into thin air.

Tun Mahathir thought that Malaysians would just accept his claims that RM42 Billion vanished and that the money reappeared in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s local personal non proxy bank account.

Mahathir was counting on his former position as a head of Malaysia’s government to place authenticity behind his accusations.  However, at the time of Mahathir’s accusation he was no longer in government which meant that he did not have access to information regarding records anymore than any other private citizen.  If he did, wouldn’t that make him party to a crime?

Of course it is well known that Tun Mahathir would never be connected to anything remotely illegal, would he?

So Tun Mahathir seeing private information regarding 1MDB accounting and RM42 Billion disappearing into thin air must have been seen using a crystal ball; probably the same crystal ball he saw his son Mukhriz as Prime Minister.

Having his grand vision, Mahathir tried to milk the RM42 Billion disappearing into thin air as much as he could, hoping that the rakyat would buy into his claim.  However it soon became apparent that his claim was a poker bluff.

In poker, if you do not have a good hand of cards, you hope you can bluff your opponent into folding (giving up) by raising the stakes.

Mahathir raised the stakes to RM42 Billion with the hope that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak would fold and walk away.

However what Mahathir did not know was Najib is very skilled at the political game of poker and knows when he is being bluffed; all he had to do was wait Mahathir prove his claims.

As things have turned out the only thing Mahathir had was a good tag line ‘RM42 Billion disappeared into thin air’ and the hope that him saying it, being a former PM would add credibility to the lie.

Now with Prime Minister Najib Razak’s scheduled trip to the USA to meet President Donald Trump, Mahathir can now see his 1MDB claim quickly disappearing into thin air along with any last ditched hope he had for his son’s political future.

The 1MDB Road Show; The DoJ and The House of Commons; Where to Next, the Knesset!

Tun 1MDB

It seems that Tun Mahathir’s 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) road show has just made its second whistle stop.

The first stop (with a repeat performance) which was to bring Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib to his knees was the United States Department of Justice (DoJ).  At the time it was hoped that the DoJ announcement would have all of Malaysia buzzing during Raya celebrations.  However, outside of the Pakatan Harapan crowd, no one seemed to take much notice of what the DoJ said.

Now following Tun Mahathir and clan’s Hari Raya vacation in London, the House of Commons has all of a sudden become the latest Mat Salleh whistle stop in which the hollowed name of 1MDB is mentioned.  More than likely Tun Mahathir and crew thought that if former colonisers say something about 1MDB then it would hold more weight in the psyche of Malays.

Perhaps this is also the reason why Tun Mahathir and Pakatan Harapan cohorts rely so heavily on Sarawak Report (SR). They think Malays will find news coming from Clare Rewcastle-Brown to be more authentic.

The problem for Tun Mahathir and company is that Malays no longer hold their former colonisers or their children in the same esteem in which the once held.  These days it is becoming more common for Malays to outright reject news, and assessments which come from Mat Sallehs.

An example of this is the news leading to the Gulf war and all that has happened because of it (Guantanamo, Bay, Abu Ghraib and Libya).  That within itself served as example(s) of how Mat Salleh use, distort and fabricate news to get the people of color (majority of the world’s population) to believe what they say.

That is why Tun Mahathir and his cohorts ran to the west because he wants Malays to here lies coming from Mat Salleh (white people) as those lies would sound more believable.  It was not enough that 1MDB was investigated here in Malaysia; Tun Mahathir along with DAP- Pakatan which he is now part needed someone to say that a crime has been committed.  Further to that, they need for the Prime Minister to appear to have benefited from that crime.

Tun Mahathir and DAP-led Pakatan have only the one card (1MDB) to play which is why they have ceased speaking about the Government Service Tax (GST or highway tolls.   For Tun Mahathir and DAP-led Pakatan Harapan, 1MDB has become their do or die issue; their Waterloo

That is why is why Tun Mahathir’s desperation has led him to beg white people (Mat Salleh) in the USA (DoJ) and now in the U.K house of Common for help as he does not want meet the same fate as Napoleon.

Do not be surprised that following the House of Commons to see the next whistle stop being the Knesset.  The promise of first opening an Israeli trade office to pave the way for full diplomatic recognition could be placed on the table!

The Rakyat Needs Dramamine To Keep Up With All Of Tun Mahathir’s Twists And Turns!

Tun and Son

Tun Mahathir’s antics over the last couple of years have been a case study in what not to do at the termination of a political career.  Every move he has made has all the earmarks of a bitter man who has not gotten his way so his only resort was to try and destroy what he perceives is the cause of his dissatisfaction.

He blames Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for not straightening out matters concerning the crooked bridge and for not doing more to assist his son to become the UMNO Youth Minister or get one of the UMNO vice president post.  Apparently Tun Mahathir was not satisfied with his son Mukhriz being handed the Kedah Menteri Besar post.  In Tun Mahathir’s mind being Menteri Besar was not good enough as it was not fast track to the post of Prime Minister.  So what he (Tun Mahathir) had to do was step up his effort to get rid of the person who he believed was blocking his son’s future in politics; Prime Minister Najib Razak!

Tun Mahathir knew that harping on the crooked bridge would not gain him listeners as the crooked bridge seemed to be his personal project.  So Tun Mahathir started to do his claim that the Prime Minister was involved in missing 1 Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) funds.  Supposedly RM4.2 Billion vanished in thin air; then some of that must have reappeared as next Tun Mahathir claimed RM2.6 was missing.  If that gaff was not bad enough, he then claimed that the actual amount may be over RM5 Billion and suggests that that 1MDB funds were channeled into the Prime Minister’s personal banking account.

So let’s get this straight. Tun Mahathir was suggesting that the Prime Minister was clever enough to siphon off billions, but was not clever enough to stash it anywhere other than his personal banking account!  Maybe Tun could teach the Prime Minister a thing or two about ‘stashing’ funds.

When it was made known that the money in the Prime Minister’s account came from a Saudi Prince, Tun Mahathir was still not satisfied; he wanted proof of how the Saudi Prince came to acquire the funds and everything else which had taken place with the funds from inception to being transferred.

Even after the Public Accounts Committee’s investigation showed that the Prime Minister was in no way connected to any misappropriated funds connected to 1MDB and proven that money has been transferred from the Middle East, Tun Mahathir was still not satisfied.  His dissatisfaction with the outcome of various investigations led him to bring a legal suite against the Prime Minister to claim money that Prime Minister Najib Razak did not steal!

Of course during all of the spinning around here and there, Tun Mahathir claimed that none of it was personal which was another lie told; Tun Mahathir attempts to remove Prime Minister Razak was very personal as he realizes that he does not have much time to accomplish his plot.

As a result there reached a point along the way where Tun Mahathir was forced to swallow his pride and sought help from the DAP and the rest of Pakatan Harapan whom were mounting their own coup attempt.  Still, for all of their press conferences and rallies, their unity did nothing to produce votes in recent elections.

Tun Mahathir’s next act of desperation was to launch his Pribumi party; where he would serve as admiral, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the temporary captain and Mukhriz (who openly stated that he did not want to be Prime Minister) the captain.

Muhyiddin Yassin and Mukhriz were supposed to be the one two punch heading to GE14 however a major hiccup along the way created a problem.  Muhyiddin Yassin it seems was nakal nakal and that presented a problem for Tun Mahathir.

Remember, Tun Mahathir has said that Anwar Ibrahim is immoral so having already said that he of course could not allow Pribumi to be associated with anyone who is tainted as immoral! However the interesting thing about desperation is that it makes us forget the words spoken yesterday; as we have witnessed with Tun Mahathir reaching out to Anwar Ibrahim.

Tun Mahathir in his continued effort to spin his actions says that if he can work with his sworn enemy Lim Kit Siang then he can work with Anwar Ibrahim.  Does that also mean that his next move is to appeal to Israel for help!

Tun Mahathir has been a paradox from the start of his campaign to remove Prime Minister Najib Razak from office.  The rakyat needs a dose of Dramamine just to keep up with all of Tun Mahathir’s Spins, Twists and Turns!

When It Comes To Double Standards, Lim Kit Siang Reigns As King!

Totally oblivious to the fact the he reigns supreme at the forefront of double standards, Lim Kit Siang sees the speck in everyone else’s eye and does not see the speck in his own.  (Here)

Since the very early stages in the 1MDB (1 Malaysia Development Berhad) investigation, Lim Kit Siang has been one of the main voices shouting that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak should step down from office while an investigation is taking place.  Of course, he like other DAP leaders, Pakatan Harapan and Tun Mahathir knew full well that the Prime Minister had nothing to do with misappropriated funds, if there were any in the first place.

Still Lim Kit Siang wanted to take a high moral position to say that there was corruption at the head of government and as a result the Prime Minister should resign.  Lim continued his calls for the Prime Minister to step down even after the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) determined that there were no links to funds from 1MDB transferred to the personal account of Prime Minister Najib Razak.  Adding credibility to the report is the fact that the DAP’s own Tony Pua was one of the Public Accounts Committee investigators who came to the conclusion of the Prime Minister’s non involvement.  Of course, since signing off on the report Tony Pua has back tracked on what he had earlier signed off on.

Again, Lim Kit Siang had no trouble during the pre-investigative, the investigative and post investigative processes to state that Prime Minister should not remain in office.  However, (and there must be a however to this) when his son Penang Menteri Besar Lim Guan Eng said to have acquired property through what is looking to be illegal means, he (Lim Kit Siang) was either silent, saying it was a government plot to divert attention away from 1MDB or hinting that his son is innocent until proven guilty; moreover he suggested that his seed (Lim Guan Eng) should not step down from his post as Menteri Besar of Penang.

Strangely enough, Lim Kit Siang does not share the same innocent until proven guilty standard that he has for his son when it came to the Prime Minister.  When it comes to the Prime Minister both Father and son Lim say guilty until proven innocent.  And for them, Pakatan Harapan, Tun Mahathir and the other coup plotters, they care nothing about Prime Minister Najib Razak’s innocence; for them the goal has always been for the Prime Minister to be out of office before GE2018!

Some may call it karma as there were calls for Lim Guan Eng to leave his post; the very thing that he and his father were asking the Prime Minister to do.

Lim Guan Eng who had in so many words claimed how his local government was clean, was himself caught having carried out an illegal transaction.  During the early stages after the story broke, he thought he could finagle his way out from the pile of bull manure that he was stuck in by claiming ignorance on land purchase matters as he was not a valuer.  Not being as clever as they once believed, both Lims know that it is just a matter of time before the court provides junior Lim with a new address and ID number.

When that happens, Lim Kit Siang will continue to proclaim his son’s innocence and that it is all a government plot to stifle dissenting voices.  What Lim Kit Siang will not say is that there is more evidence linking his son to illegal activities than anything linking the Prime Minister to 1MDB.

Maybe it is really time for Lim Kit Siang to stop having double standards when it comes to his son Lim Guan Eng!

Muhyiddin Yassin Couldn’t Draw Flies if He Were Covered With Honey, Let Alone Crowds When He’s Sprouting Lies!

Last Night in Sebak Bernam, the booted out from office former deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was probably hoping to have been greeted by a much larger crowd than the one which he witnessed during his 1MDB kickoff road show.  (here)

It is reported that roughly 400 people showed up for was to be Muhyiddin and a few other Pakatan Harapan Opposition speakers explaining to rural people 1MDB from their (Opposition) perspective.

If truth be told the sole purpose of the so called 1MDB road show is to try and undermine the good will the rakyat has for the Prime Minister, Umno and Barisan Nasional as a whole.

Tun Mahathir, Muhyiddin Yassin, Pakatan Harapan et all realized that their media blitz to drum up their support to remove Prime Minister Najib Razak was not going anywhere.  In fact, it is safe to say that given the past three (3) elections where the Opposition tried to use the GST and 1MDB against the government did not work.  Even attempts to pull the US justice system into the conversation has barely caused a yawn among the general public as they probably see any outside attempts as interference in local matters.

Due to the complete failure of former strategies, Pakatan Harapan and crew want to haunt rural Malaysia with tales of 1MDB ghosts in order to scare and sour the rakyat’s minds toward the Prime Minister.

It is widely believed that Pakatan Harapan would like to have had Tun Mahathir on the road, but the schedule would have been too growling for him.   Therefore with Tun Mahathir (who by the way was less than impressive making attempts to secure votes for Pakatan Harapan) not available, the DAP (Pakatan Harapan) needed another Malay body to place before the crowds.

Other than Tun Mahathir, the only other unemployed politician who held some weight in political office was Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.  Muhyiddin was far from being the ideal choice, but he was out of work and had plenty of time on his hands.  Of course it also did not hurt that Muhyiddin Yassin is widely viewed as Tun Mahathir’s willing puppet.  So when Tun Mahathir says jump!  Muhyiddin answers the same way Amanah answers the DAP…

How High’

However, even as Tun Mahathir’s puppet, the possibility that Muhyiddin Yassin had eaten a cookie which belongs to someone else does not make him Tun Mahathir’s ideal choice.  But Tun Mahathir has no choice, but to bluff with the hand he was dealt.  if nothing else Muhyiddin Yassin like most puppets on a string is controllable.

Still, being Tun Mahathir’s puppet does not help Muhyiddin Yassin when it comes to being able to draw crowds.  He comes up a resounding zero (as seen recently) when it comes to his being a people magnet.

Now when you tie Muhyiddin Yassin’s less than electric personality to a topic (1MDB) which Pakatan Harapan, Tun Mahathir et al have tainted with lies and you have an evening where watching wet paint dry on a wall is more appealing which probably explains why the crowd did not show up; they were all watching ….well you know!

One would dare speculate that if Muhyiddin Yassin could not draw flies even if he were covered with honey, let alone crowds when he is sprouting lies!

PAS Doesn’t Need Wooing To Choose Their Friends!

Prime Minister and Hadi Awang

It appears that PAS’ decision to leave the fractured still is still causing hurt among Pakatan Harapan and their surrogates.  First we have Lim Guan Eng insulting PAS leadership in stating that they (PAS) cannot manage Kelantan.  Now there is a report stating that Prime Minister Najib Razak wooed PAS with a large sum of money as a ‘bribe’ for them to ditch their former Opposition cohorts.

Supposedly, the price tag for wooing these days is around RM90 million.  Would it surprise anyone at this point that the Opposition will next hint or come out and say that the RM90 million also came from 1MDB; as 1MDB seems to be the perfect whipping horse the Opposition likes to use when they want to attack the Prime Minister.

So if there motive is to go after the Prime Minister, why go after PAS?

The strategy is to try and insinuate that the Prime Minister is involved with so many financial indiscretions that PAS would move away from the Prime Minister out of fear that their supporters would believe the lies which are being told about the Prime Minister.

Look at the timing of the RM90 million wooing report.  There is yet another Bersih rally coming up (I think this makes number 5) and the Opposition particularly the DAP needs more Malay faces in the crowd as they do not want people to see that they are the main instigators behind Bersih.

The Opposition (Pakatan Harapan) would like to taint PAS imaging in order to trick the Malays to come out and support Bersih.  It could be that Amanah when asked how to anger PAS supporters said that the best way to upset PAS loyalists is if create a scandal around the party where it would appear that money and not principles is influencing PAS’ decisions.

However, instead of scaring PAS into pulling away from the Prime Minister, the opposite seems to have taken place as PAS says that it will sue the Sarawak Report’s slanderous statement.(here)

PAS is an independent party which does not need cajoling or wooing when it comes to deciding who they choose as friends.  As stated in an earlier piece, PAS and UMNO have many shared interest which would make it natural for them to cooperate.

The Opposition does not want this as they realize that they (Opposition) would have little chance to secure any type of significant victory in GE14 when PAS and Team Barisan are working together for a better future of all Malaysians.

Perhaps the report  should have been about how Amanah was wooed away from PAS and who was behind that!

How Can Muhyiddin Yassin Now Explain 1MDB When He Never Bothered To Learn About It !

Muhyiddin Yassin

The reports are the former deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin wants to travel along the highways and byways with PKR cohorts to explain 1MDB to the people in simpler terms. (here)

Wait; isn’t this the same the Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who not so long ago was completely blur when it came to 1MDB?  Apparently the former deputy Prime Minister found time to read when he was put out of Umno.  This begs the question; why didn’t he familiarize himself with the issue when he was still in office.  Could it be that he had his mind, eyes and hands caught up in other matters?

Now that Tun Mahathir has effectively dropped the baton on 1MDB, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin believes that he can pick it up and run the last leg of the race toward the GE 14 finish or beginning line; depending on your party affiliation.

Since Muhyiddin Yassin was forced to come out of the political closet, he had no option, but to reveal what many suspected all along; he was working both sides of the fence so that no matter who came out on top he would be the go to guy.

Muhyiddin was no different than the Rothschild family which secretly backs both sides of a geopolitical conflict so that their family can be in an advantaged position no matter which side came out on top in the conflict.

The problem for Muhyiddin Yassin is that he is a babe when it comes to a game that the Rothschild and similar families have been playing for years.  And that is why insiders knew what Muhyiddin was up too.  He was trying tactic for which he was not equipped to take on.  As such, he was discovered and first removed from his position as deputy Prime Minister.  Then at the appropriate time he was then put out of the political party which elevated him to where he was before greed and disloyalty became his bedfellows.

Muhyiddin was too pre-occupied with ‘other matters’ to inquire about 1MDB and thus could not articulate anything on the matter other than what he read from news sources.

What is particularly strange is the former deputy Prime Minister has aspirations of becoming Prime Minister and for him to not know who can provide him with information on 1MDB proves that he is not suitable for the position.

If Muhyiddin had said something to the nature of Arul Kanda  Kandasamy as the person most familiar with 1MDB would respond to questions in due time; that at  least would have shown more leadership than his reliance on what written in newspapers.   He could have also said; ‘Let the investigative process run its course’, again that would also shown that he had the best outcome at heart; but he did none of those things.  The outcome he foresaw was a successful coup d’état against Prime Minister Najib Razak and him (Muhyiddin Yassin) taking the post of Prime Minister.   Upon gaining the Prime Minister’s post, he was to then find a way (following Tun Mahathir’s orders) to get Mukhriz in as one of the Umno vice presidents so that he would be eligible to be Prime Minister around 2020.

Of course Mukhriz would not accept the position because he said that he does not want to be Prime Minister.

Mukhriz can always use the quote from William Tecumseh “If nominated, I will not run; if elected, I will not serve” as a way to prove that he does not covet the role of Prime Minister.

Why then would he take a senior position in his father’s new party you ask.  That is a question that Mukhriz may soon have to answer.  As for now he and Muhyiddin Yassin have their marching orders and Muhyiddin orders are to march up and down Malaysia’s highways and byways hand in hand with PKR speaking on an issue that he was completely blur on when he was deputy Prime Minister.
