DAP-led Pakatan Harapan has been trying to paint a picture for Malays that life in Malaysia with a Barisan Nasional government is bad for social stability and for the economic growth of the nation.
They (Lim Kit Siang’s DAP-led Pakatan) say that PAS president Hadi Awang’s private member’s Bill (RUU355) is bad for both Muslims and non Muslims alike. While Muslims in the opposition have a say rightly or wrongly in RUU355, it be of no concern for non Muslims; unless they like Lim Kit Siang also see themselves as the protectors of the Malays.
Non Muslims getting involved in RUU355 issue is like Muslims getting involved with the personal aspects of the other beliefs in Malaysia. Rule of thumb, if it does not bother you; why are you bothered.
It does seem that (as someone has written) there are those who want a watered down Islam in Malaysia that is accepting of the most deviant forms of behaviour all in the name of tolerance. However, both Qur’an and Bible provide an account of what happened to Sodom and the surrounding towns when people became tolerant of certain types of behaviour.
DAP who wants to win big in the coming general election can only achieve its dreams if UMNO and Barisan Nasional candidates lose; so DAP must make sure that UMNO supporters will not vote for UMNO.
‘In general, the so-called progressive Malays such as the Malays supporting LGBT rights, pluralism of religion, liberalism and those who are against the amendment of Act 355 will not vote for UMNO; as they feel that UMNO’s approach to Islamic matters is too conservative and not ‘progressive’.‘ ( Read The Full Article Here! )
While PAS president Hadi Awang’s private member’s Bill does not specifically cover the type of behavior suggested above, it does serve as a wake up or an alarm to where things might lead, if no one sounds the alarm.
Now it is up to ‘Muslims’ to not be deceived and vote based on what is best for ‘Muslims’ here in Malaysia.
Lim Kit Siang and his DAP-led Pakatan (collectively) should continue to spend their time manufacturing more lies against UMNO / Barisan Nasional and PAS as those lies provide the rakyat with an even clearer picture of what life would be like under a DAP-Pakatan government.
One would be hard pressed to bring anything constructive to mind that came from DAP-led Pakatan over time of their existence. The main item that they seem to quarterly recycle is the abolishing of the Goods and Services Tax (GST). On occasion there is the mention of tools or some other goodies which they believe the people to bite on to.
What they do not do is acknowledge the investments that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is bringing to Malaysia.
Okay so you are not supposed to acknowledge your opponent’s success, but these successes are for Malaysia; politics aside, the opposition should see the positive impact (like BR1M) the various investments mean for the Malaysians.
Or is it more important for Malaysia to fail economically so that they (DAP-led Pakatan) win.
Where is the patriotism in that?
That is like burning down the house in order to claim the land and victory; occupants be damn.
If there is a silver lining in all nonsense that Lim Kit Siang and his DAP-led Pakatan do it is this; the more they talk the more the rakyat can see they have absolutely nothing to offer in terms of growth and stability for the nation!
