Pakatan Harapan; Sex, Lies and Greed!

Following the 13th general election (GE13), Pakatan Harapan thought that it had political life in abundance and therefore would never perish.  They believed that they would be at the forefront of Malaysia’s political scene until the end of days; but they proved to be a lit fuse that was burning out.

One could almost say that the period after GE13 was the DAP-led opposition’s peak as a political party.

It could have been that momentary post election high that the opposition had experienced which made them greedy for more power.  It was that greed that no doubt led them to plot against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.  They had mistakenly believed Najib to be an easy target that would put up little resistance; giving them a clear path to Putrajaya.

However in reality, things were quite different.

Prime Minister Najib first utilized political Tai Chi by using the DAP-opposition’s own energy back against them.  Then he deployed some deft ju jit su moves during UMNO’S General Assembly (2017) to throw his political enemies to the ground.

These days, the only things the opposition has to hold on to from the 13th general election are distant memories and those memories are fading away quickly

Politically, the DAP-led Pakatan Harapan is in disarray and some say teetering on collapse.  All one has to do is where at one end of the spectrum you have a couple of opposition leaders serving time in prison, another one who may join them for using his Menteri Besar status to purchase property at a substantially reduced price.

They are not alone, on the other end of the spectrum there are a couple of others in leadership positions (depending on who you ask) who have lust which goes beyond politics.

Since some of the those who make up Pakatan Harapan are carrying out those transgressions, it should not come as a surprise that Pakatan Harapan does not even address those issues, instead they continuously rehash 1 Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

As many are aware, crime and sex (mostly sex) are just part of Pakatan Harapan’s problems, there are also major divisions growing within the so called coalition which can no longer be hidden behind fake smiles during photo ops.

Even with all of their own trust issues, DAP-led Pakatan wants the rakyat to trust them to lead the nation even though they do not even trust or like each other.

If the opposition’s actions are like what we are witnessing now when they have nothing, one can only imagine the levels of degradation which would ensue, if DAP-led Pakatan Harapan were ever to receive the keys to the government.
