Pakatan is busying itself with trying to forge alliances that which will somehow miraculously save it from sinking. Doing so is much like the crew of the Titanic rearranging the deck chairs while ship was sinking.
Once considered unsinkable, the Titanic supposedly met its match as a result of an encounter with an iceberg.
As in the case of the Titanic, DAP-Pakatan Harapan probably too saw itself as being invincible. There was probably a point during 2015 when Pakatan Harapan, Tun Mahathir and ANC all thought that there would be clear sailing all the way to Putrajaya. None of them could foresee that what they believed to be a little ice cube named Najib could cause their ship/plans to start to take on water.
DAP-led Pakatan Harapan thought that all they had to do sail right over that little ice cube and that would be the end of that. What the Prime Minister’s detractors did not realize was that ice cube was just the tip of a much larger iceberg that was just below the surface.
When Pakatan Harapan finally realized how strong the iceberg (Najib) was, it was too late for them to change course.
The various captains of Pakatan Harapan Lim Kit Siang, Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali, Datuk Wan Azizah, former de-facto leader Anwar Ibrahim and recent satellite member Tun Mahathir were all too busy either prematurely celebrating the fall of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak or scheming on other members of their coalition to notice that they were charting a course for their own destruction.
Najib strength put a hole in Pakatan Harapan’s plans somewhere around late Summer or Fall of last (2015) year, if not earlier. It was during that time that DAP-led Pakatan Harapan along with Tun Mahathir believed that Prime Minister Najib Razak would succumb to the barrage of attacks which the leveled against him. They believed he was just a small ice cube alone going against the unsinkable ship called Pakatan Harapan
However, to the dismay the opposition (Pakatan Harapan) the Fall came and went with no vote of no confidence and Prime Minister Najib Razak was still in office.
Najib further widened the hole in Pakatan Harapan’s plans when both former deputy Prime Minster Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and form Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir were both removed from their position’s and subsequently kicked out of Umno.
Without the two (2) Trojan horses in Umno Pakatan did not have the means to try to cause defections within Umno.
Things finally came to a head during Umno’s 2014 General Assembly. Towards the close the Assembly, Prime Minster Najib Razak informed those in attendance as well as those around Malaysia the DAP’s political agenda; adding videos to highlight his point.
(See the explosive information in the following link!)
Those videos caused even more water to gush in the DAP-led Pakatan Harapan sinking ship. The DAP’s only counter was to try and plug up the hole by inviting Tun Mahathir who just days before was uninvited to their (DAP) National Convention.
The opposition’s (Pakatan Harapan’s) next step was to upgrade Tun Mahathir and his Pribumi party’s status.
While there may be some who see this upgrade as a step forward; Pakatan Harapan actions amounted to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic while it was sinking!
