It is amusing to still read how those in Pakatan Harapan are still trying to remain on the offense against the Prime Minister while their own political house is in shambles.
Take for example the desperate call from Datuk Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail for Prime Minister Datuk Sri Najib Razak to show courage with respect to making the 1MDB audit report. (here)
Wan Azizah’s call comes on the heel of PKR secretary-general and Pandan MP Rafizi being given an 18 month conviction for his part in leaking documents pertaining to 1MDB. (here)
The Translation of Wan Azizah’s call for courage is: We (Pakatan Harapan) need to exact revenge for what happened to Rafizi so we will resurrect 1MDB.
Of course Pakatan Harapan gives the impression that any accusation or conviction against them is politically motivated. They would like the rakyat to believe that they (Pakatan Harapan) are endowed with cherub wings and play celestial harps!
It is because they have cast themselves in this so called Bersih image that they now find their political house covered in mud and at the brink of falling apart.
Just look at them: Their de-facto leader Datuk Anwar Ibrahim; is serving time for what Tun Mahathir himself describes as immoral behavior.
Even after the orchestrated handshakes between Tun Mahathir and Anwar Ibrahim as well as part two of the love fest involving their wives; Tun Mahathir has yet to retract his claim on Anwar’s immoral status.
Is Tun Mahathir afraid to do so because he knows just like the X-Files;
Then there is saga of Lim Guan Eng who may just be coming to terms with his political mortality. In his wildest dreams, Lim Guan Eng never believed that he would be the one out of a job or worse facing time in prison; after all he believed that he was too clever. He just like the American gangster Al Capone who thought he could get away with thumbing his nose at the law, Lim Guan Eng probably thought he could do the same thing and get away with it.
Pakatan Harapan will again most likely say that the government is targeting their party members because they are asking questions about 1MDB and persecution is the government’s way of silencing them.
What Pakatan Harapan refuses to understand is that those who throw mud often have the dirtiest hands. Bringing up 1MDB again is only their attempt to reflect attention away from the fact that their political house is in shambles while Team Barisan Nasional house is looking strong!
