Tun Mahathir is now making promises (oil royalties) to the people of Kelantan because he is attempting to lure PAS supporters to join onto his swiftly sinking and desperate cause. (Here)
Of course making promises only follows suite to what has been a continuous attempt on Mahathir’s part to drum up support before GE14.
After having drained 1MDB saga as long as he could, Tun Mahathir next move was to repent and say sorry for a few of those wrongs he has committed. In doing this, he would like the rakyat to have believed that he embarked on that path based on a reflective life’s episode in his part. However, many have seen Tun Mahathir’s actions of late as just another ploy to try to win support for cause.
Tun Mahathir probably thought that his forgiveness tour would provide him a sympathetic audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, but the Agong is much to wise to be finagled but the likes of Tun Mahathir.
I am also reasonably sure Tun Mahathir’s comments about the Agong being held prisoner did not help his cause; that and not being able to state categorically that million signatures were in fact authentic when he had an audience with the Agong.
Tun Mahathir had to know that even if the one million signatures were valid, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong knows the difference between one million and the more than thirty (million) that makes up the population in Malaysia. The numbers are not even close enough to warrant a recount!
It is said that when a person is desperate they do not think logically; if nothing else, Tun Mahathir finally having an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong only to waste the Agong’s time further demonstrates that Mahathir was and is not thinking rationally or logically.
Let’s move on; not too long after having failed to convince the Agong, Tun Mahathir next move was his statement that he was burying the hatchet with Anwar Ibrahim. Could that be a euphemism for saying that he will bury the hatchet in Anwar’s back! (here)
Here is an Interesting side note; Mahathir in his serenading of Anwar never said that Anwar was innocent even though that is how Anwar wants people near and far to interpret his and Mahathir’s love fest.
It is well known that both Tun Mahathir and Anwar Ibrahim like to play with words. In doing so they hope that the rakyat will believe what is implied (lied) and never stated.
Mahathir now hoping to have garnered points with PKR through his visit with Anwar; he now has turned his sights to try and trick PAS supporters into believing that he has their (financial) interest at heart. So what does he do; he (Mahathir) plays his money card,
but wait a moment…
Doesn’t he along with his Pakatan Harapan cohorts always say that it is the government that plays money politics? So how does he (Tun Mahathir) justify dangling the gold carrot out in front of the rakyat in Kelantan? (DEDAK)
What will he do for his follow up act, offer something juicy for both Sarawak and Sabah. One would not be hard pressed to venture to what that might be.
It appears that there is no end to what Tun Mahathir will do; say and promise anything to get what he wants. And what he wants is nothing less than for his son to be Prime Minister!
