Have you ever noticed how some people live for seeing the worse in others? It is as though their life’s force needs negativity in order to function. These are the same people who probably slow down to see the carnage while passing a traffic accident or constantly seek out and spread negative news on social media.
If you watch them carefully, you will note that good news does not give them satisfaction unless it is good news about someone or an institution which they do not like.
Such is the case of those who dislike Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. These are the people who were so quick to demand the Prime Minister to step down before 1MDB was fully spoken. For the haters like Tun Mahathir, the DAP and the rest of Pakatan Harapan they were quick to insinuate that the Prime Minister was in some form or fashion involved with ‘missing funds’ even before an investigation ever took place.
Tun Mahathir and Pakatan Harapan used every opportunity to categorically state that the Prime Minister was guilty and therefore should be ousted from office, if he did not do so voluntarily. Again their cries for the Prime Minister were loudest before any investigation took place. When more level minded people took the position of let’s wait and see, they were seen as part of some grand cover up the government has orchestrated.
One would normally say in cases like this: For some inexplicable reason Tun Mahathir and Pakatan Harapan did not want the investigative process to take place. What they wanted was for the court of public opinion (which they were trying to steer) to convict Prime Minister Razak. In this situation, it is not inexplicable, it is well understood when one examines those whose voices are the loudest for the Prime Minister to step down.
It is usually those who have ulterior motives who want to change things quickly before the truth comes out. The conspirators are fully aware that once the truth is made known, all of their lies become apparent. In the same way the USA and UK rushed to prosecute a war for which they knew was no justification, it is the same way Tun Mahathir and Pakatan Harapan want to rush and convict Prime Minister Najib Razak without proof of his being involved in a crime.
To get the American and British public behind the lie, George W. Bush and his team as well as Tony Blair and his team had to continually work to turn public opinion in the direction which would bring about the results that those two leaders and their backers wanted; regime change.
We see the same happening here; Tun Mahathir and Pakatan Harapan want to change a democratically elected government. They would like to have a hybrid coup d’être / Arab Spring type change take place where they (Tun Mahathir, Pakatan Harapan) can reap the benefits without being seen as instigators behind such a change. They would like such a change in the government to be seen as a ‘people’s movement’. This is probably why they came up with names like ‘The People’s Congress’ ‘Save Malaysia’ and any other title which they hope will catch on with the people.
More recently, those whose only pleasure in life is to fantasize about the Prime Minister being in some trouble have taken a civil lawsuit filed in the USA as some sort of Holy Grail of proof in the same way they thought the PAC report was going to be the apex of proof. As things turned out, it (PAC report) was proof that Prime Minister Razak was not involved with transferring money from 1MDB into his personal bank account.
Although the Prime Minister is not implicated in the lawsuit, those who wish the worse for him only need hear or read the name 1MDB and automatically start crying for the Prime Minister to leave office.
It should be interesting to see how silent the haters again become after the US investigation proves what the PAC has already shown; the Prime Minister is not involved with any misappropriation of 1MDB funds. Perhaps they will turn their attention to Penang to satisfy their blood thirst!
