The recent news Foreign Direct Investment of 22 percent between the years of 2009-2015 further proves that the recent Sarawakian election in which Team Barisan National captured was not a fluke!
Sarawakians like most Malaysian believe the direction the government is taking under the leadership of Prime Minister Najib Razak.
Confidence in Malaysia growth is continuing despite the opposition’s efforts to caste Malaysia (economics) and the Prime Minister in a negative light.
No doubt the opposition (DAP, PKR, Amanah, Tun ‘M’ et al) is scurrying to find the right spin for this good economic news in much the same way they (opposition) tried to spin team Barisan National’s win in Sarawak.
The sour grape attitude the opposition displays further demonstrates why Sarawakians rejected the opposition during the election. They (Sarawakians) like many Malaysians want the tangible results that have come about since 2009 and not the hate filled spew filled fabrications and lies that the opposition is offering.
Good news for Malaysia is good news for all Malaysians. As such, all Malaysians should celebrate the fact that Malaysia is still considered a great place to invest!
Now does that mean we should not disagree? No. Differing points of view are part and parcel of what makes a democracy. It is only when the disagreement is based on lies and innuendo then it becomes something that is less palatable!
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s recent trip abroad is also proving to be a resounding success for Malaysia. In the Prime Minister’s own words;
“Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), I am confident my working visits to the UK and Russia have enhanced relations among our governments and boosted investors’ confidence in Malaysia as an attractive investment destination full of potential,” he said.( read here)
While some corners thought that the Prime Minister should not have traveled abroad; the affairs of State do not cease. Prime Minister Najib Razak fully realizes the importance of his role in seeking enhancing foreign investment as Prime Minister. At the same time he has confidence that his team is in place to handle domestic affairs issues accordingly.
Had the Prime Minister not made his successful trip abroad; the opposition would have put spun it to say that the Prime Minister is so weighed down and troubled that he cannot attend to international affairs!
Prime Minister Najib Razak will not allow himself to jump through hoops for the opposition nor for former PM Tun Mahathir. The opposition would be content to have Malaysia’s growth be negative rather than reports which are positive!
That is why the Prime Minister’s report of growth in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is good news for Malaysians and bad news for the opposition!
